Design Task

AMResorts was looking to build a landing page for their first annual Heart of Mexico: Food and Wine Festival  which featured events at four different properties across Cancun, Mexico. This page would serve as the hub of information for the festival.

Approach

The biggest challenge for this event page was the turnaround time.  To complete the design, approval process and execution of the page, I was given about a week and half. Keeping this in mind, I used the approved images and content guide me on the overall design and layout of the page.

Inspiration

I ordered the sections into what I felt was a natural progression of education about the festival to entice the user to not only keep scrolling, but also book their stay.  The color scheme was ultimately inspired by the provided images and the main theme of the festival: wine. The pinnacle of the festival was an unveiling of a new red wine created by AMResorts, so the deep red tones seemed like the right fit.  The chosen typography suggested the overall elegance that was intended for each festival event.
